Rosalie Margaret Fox, age 73, of Lawrence, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1950 in Queens, New York City, NY to Carmelo and Margaret D’Amato.
Rosalie attended SUNY at Cortland, receiving a B.S. degree in Public Health and Health Education. After retiring from health care related employment, she volunteered at a local charitable organization, Homefront, whose mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey. When Homefront learned of her background, they lured her out of retirement by offering her the position of accountant for Homefront’s many endeavors. After a number of happy years working there, she made her retirement official.
Known for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering support, Rosalie touched the lives of many in need. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, enjoying activities such as walking on the Lawrenceville Hopewell Trail with her husband and their beloved dog, Luke. Rosalie loved baking cookies with her grandkids, always striving to perfect their chocolate chip cookie recipe. With her husband, Lawrence, she enjoyed a variety of activities, including going to the movies, watching and discussing their favorite TV shows like Expedition X and Antiques Roadshow. In fact, she met her husband on a tennis court when she came over to him and asked if he would like to play; that was 52 years ago. A year after meeting on that tennis court she married Lawrence, and they were happily married for 51 years. In addition to tennis, she enjoyed badminton and bicycling.
Rosalie loved all things Star Trek. For many years she was an avid fan of Barbra Streisand. She and her husband were passionate fans of the Moody Blues, the Bee Gees and Blondie and they enjoyed going to their concerts. Both Rosalie and Larry loved the New York Yankees and went to many games together.
