Michael "Mike" Vandegrift, 65, Hamilton, passed away suddenly Monday April 14, at home.
He was born in Trenton and raised in Ewing, and resided in the Hamilton area for most of his life.
He was known to many as Mike. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dining out, going on cruises and traveling with his wife June, who passed away in November. When the love of his life left his side he was deeply sadden and broken hearted. They are now together for eternity.
He was employed as an apartment superintendent for many years and most recently a maintenance tech of ARC before recently retiring.
Mike was kind hearted, and would do anything for anybody.
Michael was a communicant of St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church.
Mike is predeceased by his parents, and his beloved wife June, whom he adored more than words can say; Brother in Laws John E. Varner Jr., Theodore Disbrow, Sister in law Linda Varner and Niece Kelly Varner.
Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory his Son Michael Carroll, Columbus and Granddaughter Cassidy Carroll, Columbus. Sister in law Ruth V. Agans and husband Charles A. Lumberton; Sister in law Donna Disbrow, Yardley, PA.; Brother in law James Varner and wife Maryann, Florida; Brother in law Jerry Varner and wife Cathy, Poconos, PA.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in addition to an extended family. All of whom will miss him more than words can say.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, April 21, at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
A viewing will be held Monday April 21, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Franklin H Rainear, Jr. Affordable Funeral Service & Cremation, 1310 Prospect St, Ewing 1-888-213-4090.
Following the Funeral Mass Mike will be carefully placed to rest by June's side in the family plot at Colonial Memorial Park.
