Louise Rosendorf Beste

Louise Rosendorf Beste, 86, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025. She was born on June 8th, 1938 at Princeton Hospital to parents, Irving J. Rosendorf and Eleanor Baum Rosendorf.

Louise lived in Princeton, New Jersey, until she pursued a bachelor’s degree in journalism at Syracuse University. After graduating in 1960, she worked as an editor for Van Nostrand Press. She then had three sons and found her forever home in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. In 1971, Louise pursued her teaching certificate from Trenton State College and worked as a third-grade teacher at the Gregory School in Trenton, New Jersey. During this time, she became a devoted member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church. Louise had a love for volunteering and donated her time to Parents Anonymous, the Youth Advocate Program, and the NAMI organization for many years. In 1989, she earned her Master of Education degree from Rider University. She continued her passion for education by working as a reading specialist and teacher trainer in the Trenton school district. Once she retired in the early 2000s, she continued volunteering in the community. She taught ESL (English as a Second Language) at her church and returned to Gregory School as a Kindergarten reading coach. Her hobbies included gardening, attending book clubs, lunching with the Red Hat ladies, and playing classical piano. Louise was also a world traveler and visited China, Iceland, Panama, Alaska, and Germany to name a few places.

Louise is predeceased by her parents and her late brother, David S. Rosendorf. She is survived by her sons, Frederick, Steven, and Christopher, daughters-in-law, Adriana Chaves-Beste and Wanda Rahm, grandchildren, Ivan, Ana, Linus and Lilian, and her niece, Melissa Calvert.

As per her request, there will be A Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648. After the service, lunch will be served in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
