Earlene Marie (Oberholtz) Cox, of Buena Vista, Colorado, born on December 19, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Flora (Shelley) Oberholtz and the late Earle Oberholtz, passed away at age 91 on April 4, 2019 in Princeton, New Jersey.
Earlene was predeceased in death by her sister, Zada Vogel.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelley (Everett) Van De Voort, Amy (Craig) Racette, and Lindsay (Mark) Catlin; sisters, Marybeth Freeman and Julie (Jerry) Henderson; and grandchildren, Annie Benbenek, Molly Lower, Austen Racette, Peter Catlin, and Andrew Catlin. She has 5 great-grandchildren, Elijah Benbenek, Jacob Benbenek, Orion Lower, Celeste Lower, and Luke Lower.
Earlene was a teacher, an active volunteer, and an award winning artist for her stained glass designs.
She loved nature and animals.
She was a lifelong member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston MA.
